12/1/08 First thing I ever made in Maya, basic test for rendering (followed a tutorial). IMAGE
12/13/08 First actual model, I used a reference and Photoshop for background and final image. HDR lighting and Raytrace shadows, rendered in Mental Ray. IMAGE
12/14/08-12/15/08 I'd say it's extremely close to my actual room. Some out of place proportions and odd geometry sticking out, but it's merely the outcome of duplication and cannot be removed without interrupting previous objects which were copied. Just practicing my modeling. Had quite a bit of fun with this one, though I could have done better. WIP Image IMAGE Done. IMAGE
12/21/08 FN Scar-L work in progress, spent around 14 hours on it so far. IMAGE
September 21, 2009 A low-poly based model of a HK G36. Spent a good 10 hours on it.

| UPDATE: WIP: I'd say it's extremely close to my actual room. Some out of place proportions and odd geometry sticking out, but it's merely the outcome of duplication and cannot be removed without interrupting previous objects which were copied. Clearly as you can see, it's not completely finished. I have a lot more detail I need to get into as well as my computer, tv, desk, etc. I'm mainly modeling the interior, so extrusions leading out of the structure will not be seen on final renders, if I decide to go that far.

| Holy bawls Garrett you're really getting good at this. Now just learn animation, animation layers, trax editor, etc, you'll be good to go. |

| Yeah, I'll be getting there. After I can model what comes to mind, texture it, light it and render it nicely. I'm not too sure how to model curves currently. I know how to do it with polygons, but with actual spines and extruding them with other ones it's difficult for me to get right. edit: Screenshot : Finished the Desk, could be better. I'm feeling like I'm done...but still have my computer to go, and some other modifications. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/3863/screenshotuz4.pngedit: I'd say I'm done now...too much errors in the whole thing to really make something good out of it. It would be fun to recreate it, but it took me hours and I'd like to learn a few more things before I do. The only thing I really didn't model much was the Computer Hard drive. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like doing that, and the monitors stand. Wireframe - http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq260/GarrettCGA/Room_Image1.png Personally, I only like the bottom right render, the rest are ridiculous. I don't know what I did that screwed the TV up so much. It's all crap. Had a lot of fun making it though, that's all that really matters. |

| I think they are, but the shadows aren't very sharp (you can see them on the keybaord). |
