Boolean is one of my personal favorite tools to use, makes modeling more simple. I can do whatever it is I would use Boolean for instead, but it saves me roughly 5-20 minutes every time. It's just the matter of using it correctly.

Its useful indeed. A very handy tool. But I can tell you now, that 1. people (that means people that texture your shit), will NOT appreciate it.
2. You WILL fuck up your model on a big scale.
